Located at 32393 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071, 168 Asian Mart operates as an asian grocery store serving Madison Heights in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under supermarket, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Madison Heights with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Michigan may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach 168 Asian Mart at (248) 616-1689; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is 168asianmart.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 4,697 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian grocery stores in Madison Heights.

168 Asian Mart gets a 5* rating, but with caveats. Asian Mart is building a location in my city of Grand Rapids so I went down to film some video to share with the people in Grand Rapids. The store itself is, and has always been, spectacular. They have any sort of Asian food or ingredient that you could ever hope to want to have. We do go To Madison Heights about three times a year to pick up food items that we cannot get locally. The new renovations to the store really highlight the cleanliness and expansive product offerings. The downside: As a food blogger, I pay heavier, emphasis to the restaurants that they have. Of the five new restaurants that they added: The dessert restaurant had an employee that looked like he was unhappy to be there and could not answer any questions. The sushi place served us a sushi roll that was literally burned. I don’t know how you do that with sushi, but they managed it. NOW, the dim sum restaurant was good and I had polite and cordial conversation with the employees of the other remaining restaurants. The good news: their original restaurant in the back of the store still exists and it is still awesome, So, get your Asian ingredients and f

I visited 168 Asian Market to check out the newly renovated food court. The area was clean, well organized, and looked much nicer than before. I ordered the malatang and a Chinese-style pork burger. I had a great experience with the malatang in the past, although I’m not sure if it’s the same vendor that used to be there. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t as good as I remembered. The broth was a bit bland and lacked the flavor I was expecting. The Chinese-style pork burger was disappointing. I regretted ordering it. The bun was hard and chewy, and the filling did not live up to the advertising. Overall, it was underwhelming. I’m not sure if I’ll return to the food court. The prepared foods in the refrigerated section of the market looked much more interesting and offered a wider variety of options, so I’ll probably try those next time. The market itself has been nicely renovated. It was clean, the vegetables looked fresh, and the prices were reasonable. While I wasn’t impressed with the food court this visit, I did enjoy the improvements made to the store overall.

One of my go-to spots for years. They have a great selection of products, and I can always find the childhood staples I grew up with. I love that they’ve expanded the store, creating even more room to shop and an even larger selection. The original aisles could feel a bit tight at times, but the expansion has made the shopping experience much more comfortable. The food court has always been a favorite, and I love that they’ve added even more options. You can enjoy a great lunch or dinner while getting all of your shopping done in one trip!

I honestly didn’t expect this supermarket to be THIS good. I thought I was just stopping by for groceries, but it ended up feeling like a mini Asian mall 😭 They have literally everything ! snacks, drinks, fresh produce, seafood, hot food, bakery, kitchenware, household stuff, even blind boxes and plushies. I got so emotional seeing childhood snacks and ice cream like Xiao Bu Ding and Green Tongue in the freezer section LOL. The snack aisle alone could keep me there for an hour. The bakery was also surprisingly good. I tried the pineapple bun, pork floss bread, and cheesecake, and all of them were fresh and super affordable. Apparently they even have late-night bread deals after 8pm. The prepared food area smelled AMAZING too. Roast duck, BBQ meats, boxed meals, stir fry dishes… honestly perfect for students who don’t want to cook every day. They also have fresh seafood and can cook it for you, which is kind of insane. What I really liked is that it doesn’t just feel like a grocery store. They also sell rice cookers, hot pots, kitchen supplies, household essentials, Asian medicine/beauty products, and random cute things like anime keychains and blind boxes. It genuinely feels li

First time here. It was a really nice store, great products! We found the fruit shaped ice cream, I’ve only tried the strawberry so far but it was so good. They have frozen foods, refrigerated foods, it’s like a regular grocery store, with all Asian products that are super delicious, we went for more fun snacks and desserts. They had a section of hello Kitty and Pokémon gift novelties, tons of unique and different flavors of Oreos and Oreo thins, they had every flavor of pocky that you can think of. They have kitchenware as well. It’s just a fun little store to check out.
